Growing vocabulary

It seems like every five minutes I’m finding new things to add to the list of babyNyLon’s vocabulary. She’s learning fast, and seems to find it very rewarding when she can be understood. For most things she still needs an interpreter (ie, me), but don’t mistake that for her uncertainty. She knows exactly what she means! Since I can’t make an exhaustive list in my short lunch hour, here are a few popular and/or amusing ones:

sock- goghk
belly button- bully-bah
book- book
bike (or anything with spoked tires)- bikes
umbrella- brella-brella
potty- potty

When playing with her tea set- more tea?! you must then take the cup and drink some
When on the potty- baa baa bagh see?! you must then sing Baa Baa Black Sheep
When finished on the potty- all done! clapping, high fives
After telling you she hears a helicopter- sings Up above… as in “Up above the world so high, like a diamond in the sky” from Twinkle, Twinkle

Uh oh. Better run off to work. More when I can next sneak out the iPad!
